YAKUB

moving on to dean blunt/YAKUB on red p9s

neo classical with samples and synths like a forgotten soundtrack made in the early 70's.

yakub on cassette tape like old walkman days of summer. the fucking hiss between me and yakub. what is this music about? as if abstravt had to have any kind of meaning. It's as if boardsofcanada woke up one day in a barn filled with accoustic instruments and started experimenting them with bad red wine served in plastic cups.

Sweeping strings and accoustic guitar. some synth overtones and not much else, if anything at all. this is the way it should always go, uninterrupted. the calmness of long summer afternoons. The last track, pocorn, is the best. 17 minutes of synth pads? yes. Listening to this yakub tape feels like listening to a long lost denna frances tape that was about to be released but cancelled at the last moment following a violent discussion about the clearing of used samples on an old lp from the late 70's. Note even the tape hiss hides the illegality of the music itself. what the fuck records, limited edition on cassette tape. Don't leave it under the sun for too long.

recharging p9s. yakub on hold.

coffee, marlboros, etc.

and life goes on on a drawn out sample from a half remembered lullaby from the distant past when everyone was alive. dean remembers and deletes it from the channel. it happens all the time and it's the way things keep getting interesting.
